Me 2
When Aunty Rosy comes, she demands first priority. Everything, and therefore by default, everyone else is expected to be scheduled around and about her.I've been in pain the entire day. My tummy's bloated, my mood sucks, I get these cramps... and while I'm at it, my feet hurt and the weather is so freaking, unbearably hot!
I expect to be pampered. Heck! I'm quite sure explicitly said so!
Logically speaking, this is rather emotionally immature of her. After all, as an adult, and an aunty no less, she should be in charge of her own life and by extension, her own emotions.
*throws trump card*
You're not reading my mind. You don't love me anymore.
*cries*
Moreover, one should always realize that in any form of interpersonal relationships, there ought to be mutual respect, tolerance and compromise. By demanding that people pander to her whims and moods, Aunty Rosy might be getting her own way, but in the long run, she is perpetuating a cycle of emotional immaturity.
My other friends are so much nicer to me.
I don't wanna friend you anymore!
Go away!
Habitual or patterned behavior is encouraged by repetition. In the case of Aunty Rosy, her unreasonable stipulations might be attributed to reinforced childhood stimuli. But whatever the case, there needs to be a point where the adult takes responsibility of his/her own choices.
I therefore suggest that Aunty Rosy puts an end to festering sores before they become rotting stumps that necessitates amputation.
I'm to go to my room?!
I don't want to be punished.
I don't care if it's for my own good.
It's your fault in the first place!
Ok, fine. I'll go to my room and I won't ever come down again.
And one day, when my friend asks me to stay-over, I won't ever come home again...
This is too frustrating.
I give up.

Blue Skies

I saw blue skies twice today.
Earlier in the day, it bore connotations of death and imprisonment.
Later in the evening, it spoke of union and bliss.
I guess I prefer skies where monkeys play.

The Multi-talented Part 4: Next stage? Sage...
"Smile in the face of shit."
That was the sagely advice dished out to Bad-ass. Not too shabby considering our 'tehte-a-tehte' stretched from last night to this morning.
So I smile.
Not in the face of shit but in view of a friend whom I can spew shit and share shit with.
Shit you Badass!

More Techie Pluggins
Oh, in case you didn't know, other than the techie thing, with the new tan, yours truly is aiming to accomplish the sporty look as well.
And that includes acquiring that gym membership.

Techie Plugin
In conjunction with my last post and the whole aspiring to be more technologically inclined thing, I plug:
Ang Ku KuehTo justify the plug, that particular post covers:
1. The universal existence of more attractive women.
No, no... I'm not preoccupied with obliterating supermodels.
Yet.
2. The existence of having non-gf paraphernalia around.
Or rather, the
danger of having non-gf paraphernalia around.
3. This rather interesting comment that goes:
"every girl wants to be on a handphone screensaver"With technology, being territorial is now redefined.
Haha! Being techie rules!

Thoughts on Tabloids
So, I've finally arranged for some time alone at home, where I can slouch around in my 'jammies and partake in unconstructive activities like reading tabloids online and hmm... blogging.
Yes, yes... the ever self-conscious narrator is aware of the pointlessness in keeping a blog with no real content to speak of.
Anyhow, (to increase the literary, intellectual merits to this post) even the most mundane, commonplace and apparently senseless things in life can be warranted merit. And don't quote me on that, I think the post-modern abstract artists make the best of that concept.
Yes, yes... in case you have no sense of humour and reading skills, the above comment was said in jest, I have absolute respect for all artists. So chill yea? All ye anal retentive people.
Anyhow, as I was saying, reading tabloids can be rather thought provoking as well. There was this particular article on
Jennifer Aniston trying to quit smoking which featured (surprise surprise!) pictures of her looking really gorgeous.
Yes, yes... I am female, but gender doesn't give anyone exclusive rights to admiring god-given, (make that man-induced) aesthetics. Fine fine... call the spade the spade. Let's all click on the link and check out Aniston. Sheesh!
So yea. Aniston is adorable/hawt( I <3 !!! Sorry, couldn't resist being juvenile). But despite her trademark hair, the affable smile etc. her man was tempted/lured/stolen/attracted (this is dependent on which camp you were on) by Angelina Jolie.
I mean, being mere mortals, the only fair assessment we can make is that Jolie is the dark, aloof type while Aniston (or at least she appears to be) the wholesome girl next door type. Now, it would be unfair to compare the two contrasting types of beauty, so what kind of conclusion can we draw?
Possibly:
1. That no matter how gorgeous you are, there'll be someone who will steal your man?
or
2. That we are all beautiful in our own rights and cannot be compared?
Again, the nature of the question asked is dependent on which camp you're one. I was on Camp Aniston. But looks like that camp has been disbanded for good now.
Sigh.
But back to the Aniston-Angelina showdown: If beauty was the only factor (which it very likely isn't) that constituted the establishment and the eventual breakdown of a relationship, then that relationship would have been laid on a really shallow foundation.
And if its such a shallow relationship in the first place, then what's the point of being even in that relationship?
Then, I saw
this: Britney Spears being a far cry from her earlier glorious self.
Therefore, perhaps we should all take a leaf from Spears "
awesome" marriage:
Doesn't matter if you look like crap, just make a bullocks of money and marry down.
:S
That is no hope for the human race.
And that includes me.

Comparing and Contrasting
Though there are things which cannot and should never be compared, I swear as far as I can recall, I've never been so effortlessly happy before.
It's all at the same time, scary and exciting.
I don't wanna think too much and read too much into things still...
Ai ai ai...

Back
I'm back from Tioman.
My back is in pain from the sunburn.
My mind's in pain from the questions.
Not much posts from me lately, mainly coz I'm out most of the time and the scarcity of time determines that the surplus of being out results in the shortage of meditative typing.
Am also currently on a hiatus from cam whoring. Dunno why... lost the passion I guess.
Speaking of which, passion I mean, it seems to be a recurring issue that I still mull over:
Does life require passions?
What is my passion?
and...
Is there the existence of passion in the first place?
If there is, then what is it like?
Questions with no answers,
questions that I have no time to think over,
questions which I don't feel like asking.
So yes, welcome me back to angst.

Invasion
It probably is paradoxical but as paradoxes are, it makes plenty of sense, especially for me.
Yes, I blog.
Yes, I have a tag board.
But no, I don't wanna be in the centre of attention.
And no, I don't wish to be discussed as a meal-filler.
I had my privacy invaded today. Logically, I know that there cannot be smoke without fire and that as all fires go, things cannot be kept under wraps when fire consumes. But your indiscration ripped a hole in the fragile chinese lantern and accelerated the process of destruction.
Your refusal to apologize? That my friend doesn't mean that the destruction that will not take place, it means that you've once again refused to take responsibility for your actions.
And it is because I care that I'm upset. You need to realize that the world is more complex than you.
